Please join National Wildlife Federation and Colorado Wildlife Federation to discuss Colorado’s State Wildlife Action Plan 10-year revision, and the opportunity it presents for collaborative conservation. Presenters will discuss the roles and opportunities for the land trust community to help implement this Plan as part of Colorado's Outdoors Strategy.
Colorado’s SWAP was initially developed by Colorado Parks and Wildlife as a requirement for receiving federal grant funding... but it can be much more than a federal check-box or a list of species! The 2025 revision includes interactive dashboards, searchable data hubs, and companion mapping that can support land conservation efforts and conservation planning through funding, partnerships, and other benefits. The SWAP is a core vehicle for implementing the ‘wildlife and biodiversity’ objective of the Colorado Outdoor Strategy, yet most folks don’t know much about it. Please join us to learn more and explore ways that Colorado’s SWAP can benefit your work on private land conservation.
